AV-100® Chemical Grout (Acrylamide)
AV-100® Chemical Grout, also known as Acrylamide Grout, has a successful track record spanning over 50 years in controlling groundwater, stabilizing soil, and stopping infiltration. Renowned for its exceptional strength and durability, AV-100 Chemical Grout is the go-to solution for mitigating water infiltration in a wide range of underground structures, including manholes, mainlines, laterals, lateral connections, tunnels, and mines. It accomplishes this by establishing a durable and efficient water barrier on the exterior of the structure.
AV-100 Chemical Grout (acrylamide grout) is a chemically reactive gel with ultra-low viscosity; as a result, it can penetrate wherever water can reach. AV-100 offers the advantage of customizable curing times, which can vary from mere seconds to several hours. Once cured, AV-100's crosslinked polyacrylamide grout not only forms a long-lasting water barrier but also enhances soil stability, ensuring the structural integrity of the treated area.
AV-100® Chemical Grout is available as certified for NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 - Drinking Water System Components. Only Avanti’s AV-101® Catalyst T+ and AV-102® Catalyst AP or AV-103® Catalyst SP can be used to maintain certification against NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 Drinking Water System Components.
APPLICATIONS, FEATURES, AND BENEFITS OF AV-100 ACRYLAMIDE GROUT:
- Stops water infiltration into manholes, sanitary and storm sewer mainlines, joints, laterals, tunnels, mines, and various other geotechnical applications and underground structures by stabilizing the external substrate
- Permeation grouting of non-cohesive soils for groundwater control and soil improvement
- Ground modification for soil improvement, encapsulation, or groundwater control.
- Over 50+years of safe and successful documented use.
- Controllable reaction times, ranging from seconds to hours.
- Half-life of 362 years at a 20% grout concentration, as determined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy.
- Greater longevity compared to silicates.
- Available for purchase with certification for NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 - Drinking Water System Components, in both granule and liquid forms.
To purchase and use our acrylamide and acrylic grouts, completion of the Safe Operating Practices Program is required.
